Building Forward

Questions

FAQ.

The questions I actually get. If yours isn't here, ask me directly.

Getting started

Who is this coaching for?

Women — especially moms — who want to feel strong, energetic, and at home in their bodies again. You don't need to be a lifter. You don't need to be 'ready.' You need to be willing to show up most days, imperfectly, for a few months.

Do I need a gym?

No. Programs are built around what you have access to — bodyweight, dumbbells, full gym, garage setup. Tell me what's in front of you and the training adapts.

How much time do I need each week?

Most clients train 3–4 days a week, 30–45 minutes per session. Less if life is loud that week. The plan flexes; the consistency doesn't.

I'm postpartum. When can I start?

After you've been cleared by your provider. We start slow, prioritize core and pelvic-floor rebuilding, and rebuild capacity from there. No comparison to who you were before kids — we build from where you are.

How coaching works

What's actually in the program?

A personalized lifting program updated every 4–6 weeks, nutrition guidance built around your real meals (not a meal plan), weekly check-ins on photos + measurements + how you're feeling, and direct messaging with me throughout. The technology runs in Trainerize — easy mobile app for workouts, habits, and check-ins.

How is this different from a generic plan I could download?

Two things: it's built for you, and it changes as you change. A PDF can't see your week, can't adjust when you tweak a knee, can't tell you the deadlift is fine and the diet isn't the problem. I can.

Do you do nutrition coaching?

I provide nutrition guidance, not medical nutrition therapy. We look at your patterns, calorie/protein targets if helpful, and the friction in your week — then build habits that actually stick. I'm not a registered dietitian. If you have a clinical need, I'll point you to one.

What if I miss a week?

You're a person, not a machine. We zoom out. The goal is the next six months, not the next six days. We adjust and move forward.

Logistics

Is every program the same?

No — and that's the point. No two clients are the same, so no two plans are. Everything is built around your goals, your equipment, your week, and whatever season of life you're in. We'll talk specifics (term, fees, what's included) on the consult so the quote actually fits your situation.

How do I sign up?

Book a free consultation. We talk for ~30 min. If it's the right fit on both sides, you'll get a contract, a Trainerize invite, and your first program in the following days.

Where are you based? Do you take in-person clients?

I coach remotely so geography isn't a constraint. Same level of attention whether you're across town or across the country.

Still have a question?

Easiest way to find out if this is a fit is a quick call.
